Raspberry Ribbon Slices - 12 Days Of Cookies

Your favorite fruit preserves and a time-saving shaping technique are the stars in a melt-in-your-mouth holiday cookie.

Ingredients
1pouch Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
3 tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons seedless raspberry, apricot or your favorite jam
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 teaspoons milk 
 
 
Directions
  • 1 Make cookie dough as directed on package, adding flour; blend. Divide dough into thirds. Shape each third into 12-inch log. Place logs 3 inches apart on 2 ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 2 Bake at 375°F for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Using handle of wooden spoon or finger, make depression about 1/2 inch wide and 1/4 inch deep lengthwise down center of each roll. Fill indentations on each roll with generous tablespoon jam. Cool; place on cooling rack. Cool completely.
  • 3 Mix powdered sugar and just enough milk for drizzling consistency; blend. Drizzle icing over cooled logs. Cut each roll diagonally into 12 pieces.

      Graham Cracker Santas - Christmas Cookie Countdown

       Dessert ready in 30 minutes! Be creative and make these cute looking Santa cookies – perfect for Christmas - Thank you Pillsbury for this fun idea

      INGREDIENTS

      Red food color
      1 1/4
      cups vanilla frosting (from 16-oz. can)
      12
      (2 1/2-inch-square) graham crackers
      1
      cup (about 75) miniature marshmallows, halved crosswise
      6
      small red gumdrops, halved crosswise
      24
      red cinnamon candies

      DIRECTIONS

      1 Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. In small bowl, stir 1/4 teaspoon red food color into 1/4 cup of the frosting; blend well. In separate bowl, stir 1 drop red food color into remaining 1 cup frosting; blend well.  
      2 For each cookie, frost 1 inch of one corner of cracker with dark red frosting for Santa's hat. Place 1 marshmallow piece in corner for pom-pom.  
      3 Frost remainder of cracker with pink frosting. Place marshmallow pieces on pink frosting around 2 sides for beard. Add gumdrop for nose and cinnamon candies for eyes. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.
       
      Use your favorite flavored graham cracker for these Santas. Break the graham cracker squares in half at the center perforation.
      Use kitchen scissors lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray to cut gumdrops and marshmallows.
      Kids can wrap individual Santa Grahams in festive colored plastic wrap to leave as a treat for Santa, or to give to grandparents and teachers.

      The Salami Thing

      Ingredients

      • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
      • 9 pieces salami, large thick sliced
      • 12 California black ripe olives
      • toothpicks

      Directions

      1. Soften the cream cheese and spread each slice of salami with the cream cheese.
      2. Stack three slices on top of each other, ending with the top slice having no cheese on it.
      3. Cover and refrigerate till cheese is set and meat is good and cold.
      4. Cut into 12 wedges. Garnish with an olive on a toothpick and push into top of each wedge

          Salted Caramel Shortbread Cookies - 12 Days Of Cookies Countdown

          It's the latest sweet crazy "Salted Caramels" Turn buttery shortbread into something extra special by simply topping with caramel, chocolate and a sprinkle of salt. It's a winning combination!


          Cookies
          1 1/2  cups unsalted butter, softened
          3/4 cup sugar
          1 teaspoon vanilla
          3 1/2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
          Topping
          1 bag (14 oz) caramels, unwrapped
          2 tablespoons milk
          4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
          1 tablespoon butter
          1 teaspoons coarse (kosher or sea) salt 
           
          Directions
          • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups butter with electric mixer on high speed until creamy. Beat in sugar and vanilla. On low speed, beat in flour until blended. 

          • 2 Divide dough in half. Between 2 sheets of waxed paper, roll 1 portion of dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter. On ungreased cookie sheet, place cutouts about 2 inches apart. Repeat with second portion of dough.
          •  
          • 3 Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until set and just barely light golden (do not overbake). Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks; cool completely. 
          •  
          • 4 In medium microwavable bowl, microwave caramels and milk uncovered on High 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Frost each cookie with about 1 rounded teaspoon caramel mixture.
          •  
          • 5 In small microwavable bowl, melt chocolate and 1 tablespoon butter uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Drizzle chocolate over caramel on each cookie. Sprinkle generously with salt. Let stand until se
